Coaching Supervision
“How do I know how well I am coaching?” is a question that keeps coming up for the coaches that I work with, together with questions like:
How do I know how effective my coaching skills are?
How do I take my coaching to the next level?
A great place to find the answer to these questions is “Coaching Supervision”.
Supervision is a safe space for you to reflect on your coaching skills and the work you do with your clients (paid or unpaid). We explore together areas that you need to improve in (including your blind spots) and your strengths.
One of the many benefits that you can experience from supervision is increased confidence in your coaching skills, which will significantly impact your results with clients.
What is coaching supervision?
Supervision is a safe place where we partner up with you (the coach) to reflect and explore the practice, tasks, processes, challenges and achievements of your coaching work and your well-being. It is a space where the coach can gain confidence and unleash their creativity to ensure the best possible service to the coaching client.
Supervision allows the coach to:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the coaching process.
- Monitor the relationship between the coach, the coachee and the client/organisation.
- Share and promote good practices.
- Share and value lessons learned.
- Challenge approaches and techniques in a supportive and challenging environment.
- Develop new approaches and knowledge to be more effective with coachees.
- Provides a structure to continue to develop skills and monitor progress.
- Provides a space for taking care of the coach’s emotional wellbeing.
- Consolidate high standards of ethics in the coaching process.
